    The HRCCONF utility is used to configure, administer, and monitor
    IBM ServeRAID-7e and IBM ServeRAID-8e (Adaptec HostRAID) controllers  
    from the command line.
    
  
  1.1  Supported controllers
  _________________________________________
  
    You can use the HRCONF command-line utility with the following
    controllers:

      o  IBM ServeRAID-7e (Adaptec HostRAID) 
      o  IBM ServeRAID-8e (Adaptec HostRAID)

      o  See ServeRAID Manager change history (readme_hrconf.chg)
  

  2.0  Installation and setup notes
  _________________________________

    The HRCCONF command-line utility is normally installed with
    the ServeRAID Manager program. If you did not install HRCCONF 
    when you installed the ServeRAID Manager, you can install it
    manually from the "IBM ServeRAID Support (Adaptec HostRAID) 
    Support" CD or the IBM Support Web site. 
    
    Refer to the Adaptec HostRAID User's Reference (HRAID.PDF) 
    in the /BOOKS directory on the "IBM ServeRAID (Adaptec HostRAID)  
    Support" CD for installation instructions.           
               
  
  3.0  Troubleshooting tips
  _________________________________

    o  The HRCONF GETVERSION command provides the following levels of  
       support for SATA and SAS drivers:
          
       - For ICH7R SATA drivers, it displays the BIOS version 
         as NOT SUPPORTED and the driver version string in the  
         form x.x.x.x, such as 10.20.30.40.
       
       - For SAS drivers, it displays both the BIOS version string  
         and driver version string in form x.x.x.x, such as 
         10.20.30.40.
